Photohunt: Bridge (at the Subic Extreme Adventure Park)

I'm doing photohunt early today because I'd be busy this afternoon with a Toastmasters Prepared Speech contest for our Area. I'll let you know how it turns out. Anyhow, these photos were taken at the Subic Extreme Adventure Park when we trooped over to Subic during the long holidays last December. Two things we came here for:

SLIDE FOR LIFE (CANOPY SLIDE)
Here you climb a stairway to the top of a large tree. You secure your harness; your assistant connects you to a cable system in preparation to transverse a distance of over 100 meters of dense tropical jungle 20 meters below. You must surrender your fear on this test of courage as gravity will propel you extremely fast alongside large trees and foliage. If you ever wondered what it was like to be Indiana Jones, this is the challenge for you.

and

THE HANGING BRIDGE
A high-adventure cable and old wooden-slates bridge suspended over lush tropical jungle foliage, at a height of 100 feet at one point. You need to walk over this bridge in order to get to the second canopy slide. The bridges are actually suspended over the canopy slide at one point. The bridge experience is one definitely one out of a Hollywood high-adventure production.

And boy were they worth it! If you ever find yourself in Subic, go up to Cubi and try this. Trust me, it's worth your money!

When i joined the rescue training year 2001 in the Philippines I was one who tried that ride for life. It was very dangerous because we don't have any harness or rope to tie your body in case you fell to the ground. I am the first one who tried and it scared me but I tried and nothing happened i just followed what my instructors said. But the one next to me almost killed herself because she fell to the ground and hit her head to the rock. It was an accident she was scared and she did not correct her balance and slipped one hand. That is why what you did was not really dangerous you have a harness that tied you up. Its just a confident to try. Sorry it is long comment heheh Happy weekend.

OOOOHHHHH! Beautiful photos but scary activities! I think I would pee in my pants if I had to do either! But the view would be a sight to see I'm sure! Good Luck with your contest.

My bridge is here.

Yay, I'm afraid of heights so I'm not sure I will try this one. You seemed to have much fun! But I'm sure my hubby will love to try this, hope we can visit Subic on our next vacation. Here's mine http://www.mirasblog.com/2009/02/photo-hunt-6-bridge.html

What a fascinating bridge this is! Thanks for sharing. I shared 'bridges' at both Sacred Ruminations and Happily Retired Gal this weekend.
Hugs and blessings,

Hmm, that looks fun. I wonder if there's one nearer than Subic.
