My Phone for the whole family

Wow, My Phone mobile phones sure are making waves these days. I first heard of these Made in China phones a couple of years ago. They were phones with cool features (TV, 3G, camera, mp3/4 player, touch screen, dual sim, etc...) at a fraction of the cost of the same features in say, a Nokia or Sony Ericsson. The only issue then was that if its made in china, then it must be bad. Cheap sure, but not good for the long haul.

I'm still not sure if its durable or not, but they sure stayed in the business. In fact, I could say they grew over the last few months. Now they're even bundled with cheap plans from all major telcos. What actually caught my attention are the new line they're advertising in the LRT 2 hand-straps.

They actually have one for each member of the family:

1. For the "workaholic" dad...

A background noise selector that masks the beer house away! It even has dual SIM for the dual wives!

2. For the stay-at home wives

Here's something for those warm lonely nights when the husband is doing "OT" (see no. 1)

3. For the "outgoing" sister

Kinda says it all, doesn't it?

And my personal favorite...

4. For the geeky brother

The stalker special.

Pretty neat 'eh? Somehow I feel drawn to no. 4.

N.B. Not a paid advertisement, nor do they even know I'm doing this. Of course, people from My Phone, if you feel like sending me one of your phones for an actual review, feel free! Free Smileys & Emoticons at Clipart of.com

Whoa. Did I just see a vibrator joke on the blog of Mr. "I'm a Christian"? :-P

I've been wanting to get a MyPhone for a while now! I wonder if the LV/Gucci ones have got TV also.

This is funny! :-) I don't think I like MyPhone after this.

Those phones look cool actually. But heard of horror stories as well.

@JC: Hmmm... I suppose that wasn't right. The joke's not actually mine though, is it?

@Lizz: Yeah, I remember you mentioning it before. What are waiting for? Sold your SE yet?

@Cym: Err... why? Thanks btw. :)

@Lester: Really? From whom? Care to share?

I'm suddenly reminded of my neanderthal phone. It's a wrinkly Nokia 3315 circa 2005. Lovely.

Ehehe.

@darkjedi: That's the real problem ain't it? More talk than tech.

@andy: Haha... I'm still using my flashlight phone. :)

@Philos: I read them in forums. Well, I guess they were just unlucky. I think hitmanliu's myphone is still alive and kicking. :)

@darkjedi: Actually, it's my first time to see them this "aggressive." MyPhone is manufactured (or is it imported?) by the Solid Group Inc. It's a very Chinese and conservative conglomerate. Very cash rich too. :) It's traded in PSE under the symbol of "SGI". hehehe. (Sorry for the plug)

I don't like it because of the dual sim for the dual wife thingy. I don't like that idea at all!

philos said...

@Cym: Haha... that was my own joke, not theirs!

@Camille: That's why philos aspires to be a stalker.

@philos: Peace bro! :P

philos said...

@Camille: I'm sure it sounds phony enough to recognize hehe

@Lester: "aspires" huh... go ask JC for a more suitable verb.
