Photohunt: What is that?

Photobucket

Photobucket
A perfectly innocent looking piece of wood lying in the middle of the road.

Photobucket
Aha! Not as innocent as it initially looked huh?

Photobucket
Yep! They "stole" this piece of wood to use it as a speed bump.

Photobucket
Boy did they enjoy going back and forth over that piece of wood.

Photobucket
Must've gone back and forth at least a dozen times--each! So much so that they've started being a nuisance to people who actually wanted to use the road.

Photobucket
Yikes! They're dad has just about gotten enough of their horsing around. Can you imagine the next scene?

Photobucket
And away we go!

These photos were taken last Sunday while I was lazing around waiting for my mom to attend to some details about the finishing touches on our new house.
Photobucket
Yes, we're moving in to that neighborhood. I'm still unsure as to whether I'd end up liking those kids or not. Let's hope they don't give me any reason to not like them. We shall see.

Maybe you should stop snapping photos of little boys in your neighborhood unless you want to earn a reputation as a creepy pedophile :-P

Your blog post is great - and your new place looks terrific! And I'm I'm a teacher and a mother of boys.
It was cool to see kids having some innocent fun out in the fresh air.

@Lynn: Yeah hehe... that they are. They also tried to make the cars go over it hehe... they kept trying to place it right where they expect the car's wheels would pass hehe...

@David: hehe

@YTSL: Thanks, I hope so too. :)

It's amazing how useful an ordinary hunk of wood can be.

@on the rock: Thanks!

@GT: It's amazing how kids can make anything useful hehe... just like Lynn up there said. :)

@Liz: That would be totally cool except I don't have a bike--because I can't ride one.

oh oh....does this spell T R O U B L E?

My photo hunt this week is a sequence of photos as I open a purchase I made at Michael's Crafts shop. Can you guess what they are before I reveal them?

Come by if you can find time!! Have a super weekend.

philos said...

@carver: Hehe... as long as we don't run into any speed bumps, we'll be moving in a couple of months :)

@anni: I actually enjoyed looking at those skellies hehe

Oh goodness! We see a belt. That would be bad news for the father here, if reported.

Amazing what kids can make into a toy to play with!
New place looks nice.

Good luck with them. They don't seem like bad kids, but they could drive you up the wall anyway.

Kids will be kids...and at least they are outside getting exercise!

philos said...

@alice: yeah, they're pretty nice... a litte rambunctious but I'm at work often enough not to worry hehe :p

@claudia: yeah, you're right about that... and at least they're not my kids hehe :p

It is amazing how long boys can play with something so simple. I hope you like the new neighbourhood.

Katney said...

Your new neighborhood needs a skate park, maybe. Or maybe the kids jsut need a chance ot do what kids do when they don't have a skate park.

Bette said...

when the page was loading i thought it was just the piece of wood - yun pala may story! galing! i was entertained.

philos said...

@starnitesky: You're right about that, I stayed there for a couple of hours, and they were at it the whole time hehe... I hope I enjoy the neighborhood too :)

@katney: hehe... this isn't exactly a country where we have stuff like that, kids here have to make do with what they have. :)

@bem: haha... glad to be of service :)
